Basic Stats. (Follow up post)
See original post here: Because I can’t anymore.
Diagnosis/conditions and current status of those * (assume all include prayer, and support from loved ones). Diagnosis are all from Physicians, unless noted.:
- Adult ADD moderately managed with deliberate habits and medication.
- Plantar Fasciitis, managed with stretching, proper shoes, etc…
- Fibromyalgia, mildly managed with medication, diet, physical therapy, chiropractic, mindfulness, rest, modified schedule and expectations (read: LOWERED expectations)
- Obese, according to a Harvard Chart * …and, sadly, not surprising. This is not something I thought I’d ever say. Not a ‘medical diagnosis’ because I think the doctors are too nice to say it out loud (they shouldn’t be. The one doctor who ever said a word about weight has, unfortunately, retired.)
- Depression. It’s not severe, though there have been some very, very bad days/weeks. And it’s well managed, at the moment, with medication. But it’s very real.
Basic Stats:
- Female, 44
- Married, 3 children (9,13,20), 4 pregnancies.
- Work at home, occasionally outside the home. Self employed.

Notice I’m not sharing numbers here. I’m tall. The numbers don’t make sense based on what you ‘see.’

In the photos below, you can scroll them. The run about a 15 year span. I’m not sure I have them all in exactly the right order, but they should be pretty close. From my wedding day, to Christmas of 2019. Yes, I have more current photos, but they are mostly head shot selfies. If you’re bored, you can check out my social media to see more.
Here’s a general reference:
Wedding, 2004. Scissors – about 12 years ago-ish.
Pregant – 10 years ago.
Baseball – about 6-8 years ago.
First ‘Shipt’ photo (green shirt), about 5 years ago.
Shipt group photo, I think 3 years ago.
2018 t shirt – 2 years ago. Car photo with son around the same time.
Farm photo, October 2019
Shipt Park Photo, November 2019
Griswald, Dec 2019.
To be fair, I should probably find some photos to fill in 2017-2018 – I didn’t really find any – but, I think these make the point. Do you see the difference? Again, not in the weight, but in the light, and joy, and general fatigue? I think some people have a knack for seeing that.
So, there ya go! There’s me all laid out…so, let’s do this, ok? Will I share full body photos in a swimsuit or similar? Nope. I have no problem with those photos, I’m just not willing to share them publicly myself. That’s my choice. I will take some full body shots for a before/during/after/etc. But, see…let me remind you…this journey is NOT about the weight for me. I want the spark back.
If you questions, I’ll do my best to answer them. See ya soon with a little journaling!

*I think it goes without saying: I am not a health expert or physician. I am simply sharing my story. Any information, methods, practices, treatments, thoughts, etc share here are my own personal experiences and SHOULD NOT be taken as medical advice. Again, I am simply sharing my story.
*I chose this chart at random, as most people know and trust Harvard Data. I did compare the number to several other charts, including one from my own physician’s office. The all match up. Obese. High Risk
