But they couldn’t…because I made a HUGE MISTAKE.
It really is a simple fix, but it took me some time to correct it…the problem is, if I had followed some VERY basic advice, I may have had some of those subscribers;yes, I literally want to cry.
Here’s what my landing page looked like…if you’re on a desktop reading this, maybe it works…maybe it doesn’t. I’m 275% certain it worked perfectly when I set it up…it doesn’t work on my computer now…but if you’re on your phone or mobile device, it doesn’t…it just doesn’t…this has been like this FOR TWO YEARS! AND NO ONE TOLD ME! I had this set up on THIS BLOG as a custom URL in my blog 😭😭😭 Did I mention I want to cry? 😭😭😭
Luckily, I have themed posts, so readers subscribe to each ‘type’ of post…so I haven’t gone totally without subscribers…(scroll to the bottom of this post and you can see how you might subscribe to #TackleTuesday posts!) I simply select that form from a drop down menu and it’s just magically there! Pretty cool right? AS LONG AS I DO IT RIGHT!
SO, now that I’ve tackled that issue, I’ve updated my About Me page to a simple Page on my blog with an In Line Subscription Form where Visitors can Subscribe straight to that from – that, HOPEFULLY will function properly for all time! But you bet your bottom dollar I’ll be checking back on the regular!
The Moral of the story? CHECK YOUR WORK, CHECK YOUR WORK, CHECK YOUR WORK!
