Learning Curve.
Todays Discover Prompt took me for a tailspin…Curls? Body curves? Life threw a curve ball? Baseball?
I couldn’t land on a topic…and then a friend posted her senior picture. In support of this year’ seniors.
And it all rushed in. The learning curve. The curve they’ll all have to work through…the hurdle they’ll all have to climb this summer, or in August…or for the next year…it’s going to depend on each individual student, their strengths, weaknesses, access to materials, willingness to work, discipline, their family situation and support, etc…there are so many things. The GOOD NEWS…the bright spot…is that they’re all in it together…and so are their teachers.
And I have every confidence that students all over the world of every age will persevere, will overcome, will come out ahead. Why am I so confident of this? Because I am reading their blogs…I am watching their teachers and interacting with them…I see their social media posts…I talk to their parents…I pray for them, and know that SO MANY more are.
Are there worse things that students could go through? OF COURSE! We ALL know that past generations have gone through way more difficult circumstances.
The reality, though…this is their struggle…this is their hard…or maybe it’s easy…maybe it makes things BETTER for them….maybe it gives them MORE possibilities than we could EVER imagine…and makes even more possible for the generations behind them…let’s embrace that possibility and walk through this with them…to the best of OUR ability…
For your enjoyment, a few snapshots from my senior year…I had the pleasure of assisting with the planning of our 25 year reunion in 2018 (yep, I just told on myself)… so I have ALL the pictures…
What year did you graduate, and what is something you remember fondly about your high school years that you would have hated to miss?
For your enjoyment, a few snapshots & from my senior year…and our Reunion Slideshow. I had the pleasure of assisting with the planning of our 25 year reunion in 2018 (yep, I just told on myself)… so I have ALL the pictures…
Enjoy, and best wishes, and lots of love to you, class of 2020! Please say hello if you found it here and let me know what your school’s graduation plan is, if that has been determined.
