Take a moment to read this one, friends. I know…we all have differing opinions on this topic… I couldn’t agree more that the beautiful ladies that performed are INCREDIBLY talented…I wanted to say something on the topic – but I couldn’t quite get the words out. I sat in my kitchen with several guests while other guests (mostly, but not all, male) watched this show. Blessedly, the teenage boys were outside shooting hoops…While I let it fester in my head, the topic has circled the internet probably a million times…so, at this point, whatever I might want to say has been said…

This is about so much more than one half time show…it’s about our daughters…what if we fight for them, and CHANGE the culture? Who am I to have an opinion on Latin culture? No one…I’m probably one of the whitest white girls on the planet…just a mother…and a woman…so, I do actually have a dog in the fight of America’s culture…I’m probably not even using politically correct wording here…I hope that every Latina woman knows that her value and worth do not come from her body and how she moves it.
