It’s OK to Tackle Nothing…
Would you believe me if I told you that I had this week’s post already written, and scrapped it to save for next week?
Why would I do such a thing? Well, the word of the year is TACKLE. I’m a little overstretched at the moment, which is nothing unusual. I decided to kind of ‘take a day’ and rest a little…only doing necessary work tasks, a little laundry, and taking back a hot spot for stuff collection (all mine, can’t even blame the kids on this one) in my home. So, the day is done, and I feel rested and better. Ready to tackle a really fun post I have planned for tomorrow.
Another reason to save that post: what I did today WAS actually tackling something…and one of the things on my list to TACKLE this year is having blog posts written AHEAD OF TIME so I don’t feel so crunched for time. Basically, I can release the pressure valve I’ve set for myself. So, here’s the space I cleared. It did require considering a very underutilized cabinet space. I got rid of a few things, reorganized a few things, and found a space to store the things that I use DAILY in this very spot (It’s my video and picture spot because it has AMAZING morning light). It’s also one of my favorite spots in the kitchen. If it’s going to be doing constant double duty, there has to be a way to keep things handy, but also out of the way.
Consider this: It doesn’t have to be a super productive work day, or even a major cleaning day to be a good day. It’s ok to do nothing. It’s ok to put a hold on everything and just make YOUR day a little more manageable.
Next week, you’ll get the post I had originally planned for today…how to send brownies in the mail, and actually be prepared to do that ON TIME. Doesn’t that sound fun? ? It really is! Hope to see you back!
What do you need to tackle today?
You just might give me some ideas for projects I need to tackle!
My goal is to bring you a new “TACKLE TUESDAY” post each week as we move through out this year. Some will be personal and household related, others will be business related.
Much Love to you and yours!
