Ok, listen, I’ve busted tail getting this all put together for you…we all know we’re making up the rest of 2020 as we go, right? No one seems to really know how this is supposed to go…here’s how ours is going!

What started as the brainchild of one of my daughter’s classmates has turned into an all day project for me to help YOU save Halloween! So. fun. Love these kiddos and their incredibly sweet hearts!

Here’s how it went down, and how it’s still going down:

• About 1/4 of our classmates were put on Quarantine yesterday due to Covid-19 Exposure. NOTE: THAT MEANS THEY CAN’T TRICK OR TREAT!
• One sweet child had the BRILLIANT IDEA to Ding-Dong-Ditch his quarantined classmates.
• We put together a QUICK Google Form, and decided we’d just figure the rest out later.
• Parents are stoked to participate and spread some love to the kiddos. Unfortunately, the school is unable to share the info/sign up, so we’re doing everything we can to spread the word. It is what it is. Rules are rules. We just move on from here!
• We made a landing page for everyone to have one spot to get ALL THE DETAILS.
• We will keep that page updated, and post maps and a survey to make sure all the quarantine children that were able to participate get treat bombed!

So, here’s your Step by Step QUICK Guide to get this party moving for your crew!

A. Create a form with all of the info you need to get this going. You can do this on Google Forms, MailChimp, or if you have another email platform, that should work as well! In order to protect student privacy, the ONLY information we required was street address and an allergy check. We also decided it would be simplest to create a Landing Page for parents to visit with ALL of the information in ONE PLACE. This is optional, but might save some confusion later. Midday on Halloween, the Survey will be CLOSED to responses. Because, you know…life and reality.

B. Send the info out there! We invited as many of the quarantined kiddos as we could get a hold of to complete the form.

C. Make sure you, or someone else, can keep the information updated and transfer the info submitted on the form to a new form or list that you can share with parents who want to help treat bomb quarantined kiddos.

D. Optional: As the event grows near, create a google map with all of the potential stops that you can add to your landing page. You can also create a quick Google Form or other Survey (we went with CrowdSignal for ours) with ONLY the name of the street to keep up with the homes that have been treat bombed. Just make sure that, whatever platform you choose, the results are visible to parents participating so they can see who might need to be bombed next!

I have all of our forms duplicated in a generic format for you, without our children’s personal information.

All of this was put together just today, and I’ve done my very best to double check all of the links and processes….but please let me know if I missed something! My goal was to get it out there QUICKLY so YOU can get to work! Halloween is just 3 days away!
