Looking back is always interesting.

I took a look back at my calendar and a photo album from May of 2016.  It’s amazing to see the difference in what we were doing as a family, v what we are doing now.

Baseball for my middle child, Kindergarten graduation for my youngest. My husband was coaching. I was working every minute I possibly could to help cover some of the cost of sports and extra curricular activities for the kids.

2016
Do you see it? The barely making it?

The few pictures that I was in, I see the fatigue. I see the struggle of balancing my time between my responsibilities, my work, and my family. I remember the strain and the struggle. I also remember the joy. Of being there for the things, of cherishing those moments. But, again, all too well, I remember how much effort it took to actually BE there. To be present.

Do you ever feel like you’re chasing your tail? That’s pretty much how I felt all the time.

I’d be lying if I said I don’t feel like that sometimes now. However, there’s a difference.  I have finally found some balance and other ways to work that I have more control over. Getting to choose where my time and energy goes makes such a huge difference.

2020
Much better.
Just the fact that I was able to take the time to make her hair pink, and actually ENJOYED
doing it…speaks volumes to me.

I hope that this time of ‘stay home’ is giving you some rest and pause. I know for many of you it is not. You are busy, you have more pressure at work, you may even be working more.  Or, maybe, you’re feeling anxiety about whether or not you will actually have a job to go back to.

I want you to know that I am thinking of you and you are in my prayers.  You CAN and will get through this. If you are struggling, please reach out to someone. If that someone is me, I’ll do my best to here. But don’t struggle alone.

I also pray that our new ‘normal’, when we find it, is a slower pace…more mindful of our family time, more respectful of everyone’s time, energy, and passions.  And I look forward to watching each of you take hold of your lives and claiming your blessings.

Take this time that we have to evaluate the world around you, the one you can control.  Spend some time considering where your heart is and what your goals are.  Are you getting there? I do hope so.

In the meantime, head on over to the Lilla Rose, Inc. Facebook page for a very special edition of Wear it and Share it today for your chance to win free products…I can’t wait to see the pictures you share! If you’re not a public sharer, I’d love for you to simply reply to this email and share a photo with me! It helps me to get to know a little about you.

Much Love,
