Meet your Little Free Library Steward!

Meet the steward!

My name is Cindi, I have always wanted to host a Little Free Library, and with the help of my family, we repurposed a chicken coup into a Little Free Library.

I have a background in Special Education and spent about 10 years teaching students to read, and teachers to teach using a specialized multi-sensory reading program. Though i am no longer in the educational field, I tend to teach in some way in ever role I blessed to be involved with. I have always had a love for reading, and especially drawn to Historical fiction. One of my favorite novels is the Houses in between by Howard Spring, published in 1951. I wasn’t particularly in love with it at first read, but it’s one of those books that just sticks with you and comes back to mind at random moments. Last I checked, it is no longer in print. The copy I have belonged to my grandmother, and I doubt I’ll ever part with it. If I ever come across another copy, I’ll be sure to let you know and add it to our library.

I have three children and have been married for 15 years. Though most of our family lives relatively nearby, we have relatives scattered all over the country. I’m not sure what other random facts might be interesting to book lovers, and Little Free Library patrons, but if you have questions, I’d be happy to answer them. We will share stories from our LFL adventures, books available, and a little book humor – because this is a good year to laugh as often as possible. I hope that you enjoy this account! We are looking forward to connecting with other Stewards, chartered or not, patrons, and book lovers!

Be sure to let us know if you visit!

Much love, and happy reading!
