Need Good Root or Styling Clips? I Tried these!

blog banner for aimike styling clips review

After trying a few different sizes and styles in metal root clips, or styling clips, I went on a hunt for something that wouldn’t drive me mad. The metal ones, in all of the sizes except the largest clips, always seem to get tangled up and snag in my hair. And the larger ones I have tried just didn’t have enough bulk/weight to them. If you have thin or fine hair, the metals might work great for you, but I need something more…I hope this short video and review with a short list of pros & cons of the Aimike Styling Clips I recently discovered gives you the information you need to make an informed decision!

After reading some reviews and digging around, I couldn’t really find exactly what I was looking for, so I settled on these. If you have curly hair, you know how tiresome (and often expensive) it can get to test out accessories and styling products. I am certainly not disappointed in these, so if you’re looking for some sturdy root clips that will stay put, AND perform double duty as styling clips (ahem…a FEW of us MAY be doing more at home hair cuts than usual this year…is that you?)…well…

…Look no further…

Let’s explore the pro’s and cons of the Aimike Styling Clips:

Pros:

  • Comfortable weight in hair.
  • Sturdy feel
  • Strong enough for thick/heavy hair
  • Great Grip
  • Gentle on Hair
  • No tangling/snagging
  • Great length
  • Smooth operation
  • Double Duty as ROOT CLIPS & STYLING CLIPS
  • Came with Extra Grip Bands
  • The price fits the product

Cons:

  • Might be too have to use as ROOT CLIPS for thin or fine hair.
  • The fact that they came with extra Grip Bands makes me wonder if I might have issues with those down the road.

As you can see, the Pros FAR outweigh the CONS. Basically, these clips will work as Styling Clips for every hair type I can think of, whether you’re doing a major hair session, home hair color, or giving the kids a trim. If you have wavy or curly hair, you’ll love these as root clips, as well. Again, if your hair is fine or very thin, these might be a little bulky for you if you’re looking for ROOT clips.

Do let me know if you try them!

I love sharing things with you that work great for me, and will never do so until I’ve given a product several go rounds. The great news is that these clips are on sale right now (as of the date of this post) so you can give them a try at discounted price!
