Tour Our Home and See How Our Pantry Is Looking Now

#TackleTuesday I slept.

Well, my mind & body has hit major flare zone…I think I’ve slept more in the last 4-5 days than I’ve slept all year. I knew it was coming. Got up around 12:30 today. The last couple of months has been busy – by choice. If you’ve been following along this Great Purge of ours, you can possibly imagine why.

Here’s what’s different this time:

I’m not waking up and looking around and seeing all the things I ‘should have done’ instead of sleeping. I see our amazing blessed life, and beautiful home, still a work in progress, but beautiful none the less. What’s the phrase? “Bless this Mess.”

I’m not walking around pacing back and forth trying to figure out what to do next or how to put out the fire of whatever thing I NEGLECTED to do that was urgent or important. Y’all, I literally miss appointments for my children sometimes…that used to never be me. It is now.

I’m able to slowly allow my body and mind to wake up, with a little food or pet cuddles, or checking on the kids. I don’t even look at my phone until I’m fully awake. Then I deal with the herd of messages and calls in order of priority…so, I apologize if some days I don’t quite get to yours…It is what it is. And, then, I’m able to get back to the business of life and whatever this present day holds for us without fear of the next hour or day or week…

I’ve never been one to beat myself up over these issues, and I hope you don’t either. But, in the back of my mind, I knew that I could do better…it could be better…that it didn’t have to be as bad or as overwhelming as it felt most of the time.

She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future.

Proverbs 31:25

Here’s what you came to see…

More detail and information than you ever truly wanted about our home, or at least most of it…Here’s the progress we’ve made, and the plans we have. There are ‘Chapters’ listed in the Video Description on YouTube if you’d like to skip ahead to any particular topic or areas.

Well, there you have it…Look a little crazy still? Well… that’s ok…it probably is and always will be!

The Get Creative Case I used to store the dry goods is on sale! There are TONS of storage/organization options HERE, as well – and we will be talking more about those next week!

Here’s Dawn’s most recent video about Minimalism and a GREAT place to start. She talks about the three questions she is asked the most often, one of them being, “is there anything you regret getting rid of?”

I hope you find Dawn helpful and encouraging! Thanks so much for joining us on this journey of THE GREAT PURGE! We are much further along than anticipated at this point, and I’ll be bringing you a full update near the end of June as we reach the midpoint of this year of TACKLING LIFE!

If you are looking for a more balanced life, and ORGANIZED kitchen, be sure to connect and join us on this journey!

You can simply subscribe to emails, below, or visit my about page and connect on social media.

If you’d like to join our Pantry Organization Group on Facebook, I’d love to have you. (If I don’t know you personally, please comment on this post so that I may ‘vet’ you to join the group in order to protect Cheryl, other group members, and myself.) My amazing friend Cheryl was gracious enough to come over and help me think through the process, repurpose storage things I already had on hand, see where I could save money, and still make my beautiful kitchen as functional and organized as it was designed to be. The small changes we have made already have absolutely been GAME CHANGING. Cheryl has YEARS of experience in this, and has talked me through so much!
