Clarifying Your Curls – How To & What to Use

A dear friend asked me to share some hair care strategies in her Facebook Group this month (you’re welcome to join us!). That forced me into teacher mode, and, in turn, forced me into learning mode…

Why do you need to clarify your hair?

Regardless of what products your using, your hair will develop build up over time. This can lead to dull, flat, lifeless hair. And it it just doesn’t feel good. I used to just switch my shampoo every now and then and that seemed to help…but, I’ve learned better. Build can come from many sources:

I Tried the Top Ranking Messy Bun Tutorial

I wanted to have a little fun today, because, you know…if I’m going to call myself the ‘Godmother’, I have to make sure that the Messy Buns out there are legit…SO…I searched YouTube…and opened the FIRST Messy Bun Tutorial that popped up…this one had over 2M views, so I had a pretty good guess it was going to be a good one…well!! HOLLA! There are FOUR tutorials in that one video! I tried the first one today – it’s been in my hair since around noon today (it’s currently 10:00 pm) and still holding strong…

The thing is though, unless you can keep all of the ingredients organized, you’re still going to have a ‘chasing your own tale’ kind of dinner experience.

What to do? What to do?

Let’s talk about how to get those ingredients organized. First of all, I’m writing from the perspective of a meal kit. You can ABSOLUTELY apply the same ideas and principles to your own meal prep.

You’ll need the following items:
